o This is split role between Procurement/Stores and Homecare
o The post holder will support the management of procurement, stores, distribution and homecare service at North Middlesex Hospital.
o To support and direct the work of all procurement and store staff ensuring standard operating procedures are followed and standards maintained.
To support the homecare team with day to day running of service.
o To manage an accurate record of outstanding stock orders for wards and departments and ensure the appropriate communication and action is taken to obtain the supply or an approved alternative is supplied
o To train, appraise and mentor junior staff rotating through the Procurement, Store and Homecare departments, including pre-registration Pharmacists & pre-registration Pharmacy Technicians
Main duties of the job
To support the management of the homecare team for the day-to-day operation of the service. This includes raising orders, receiving medicine and invoicing. Ensure all medication is ordered, delivered, received and invoiced on CMM (JAC).
Support in resolving queries- suppliers, clinical teams etc
Homecare prescription management is maintained and recorded following SOP's
To support the expansion of homecare services and increase patient numbers
To ensure that a set of written standard operating procedures for all activities involved in homecare and invoicing is maintained.
Attend London Procurement Partnership Homecare consortium meetings and meet regularly with supplier representatives - to improve our level of service and pass relevant information to relevant parties. Update and mo Senior Pharmacy Techician- Homecare and Stores nitor contract changes from CMU
Identify possible shortages and escalate solutions/recommendations to Senior Pharmacist team & Medicines Information
