Job summary

To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner whilstfacilitating effective MSK care to a wide range of outpatients within the Trust.? To assess and treat own patient caseload as an autonomous and independentpractitioner for patients who may have acute, chronic and/or complex MSKpresentations; and to maintain appropriate treatment plans, records and data.? To supervise, teach and appraise students and support workers where applicable? To be involved in the teaching of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), staff and patienteducation groups.? To undertake and present evidence based projects and research, includingdepartmental audit and service improvement changes, under the supervision of linemanager.? To take an active role in personal continuing professional development that will alsoenhance the service.? To support the physiotherapy management team and represent the department in theorganisation and running of the service? To work as an autonomous professional according to the Chartered Society ofPhysiotherapy rules of Professional Conduct and Standards of Physiotherapy, and theHealth Professions Council's regulations

Main duties of the job

Our starting band/grade will be confirmed based on your experience and skills, typically at Band 5, with progression to Band 6 upon successful completion of competency requirements. Candidates with the appropriate experience and qualifications may be appointed directly at Band 6.

This would be ideal opportunity for both newly qualified (including those awaiting HCPC) and established band 5 or Band 6 physiotherapists looking to pursue their career in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of Physiotherapist with a commitment to high quality patient care. We have links with local universities and provide opportunities for post-graduate teaching.

Therapy Services work collaboratively with the Orthopaedic, Pain and Rheumatology departments and are involved with numerous Quality Improvement and clinical practice group projects for the Trust.
