The postholder will lead the POSCU service and will be an integral member of the women and childrens team to provide a clinical pharmacy service to our patient cohort . You will ideally be a current hospital pharmacist with experience of working in multidisciplinary environment, who is ready to take the next step and lead a team. You will be part of a dynamic and supportive team providing a high level of care.
Main duties of the job
- Assist in the development and maintenance and delivery of a comprehensive clinical Pharmacy service to the Trust and provide operational and professional support to the Lead pharmacist for oncology and Lead Pharmacist for Women's and Children.
- The post holder is responsible for providing high level of clinical and pharmacy services to Paediatrics/Oncology areas.
- To provide training and supervision to pre-registration and rotational pharmacists
- To provide a specialist clinical pharmacy services to patients within Women and Children's Directorate ensuring the safe, effective, legal and accurate use of medicines within the specialty
- To support the maintenance, clinical use and development of chemotherapy e- prescribing and administration system (Chemocare) across the Paediatric Oncology Service.
The post holder will have designated areas of responsibility, which will vary from time to time according to needs of the service.
