We are currently seeking motivated and experienced bank inpatient occupational therapists to join our Inpatient therapy team at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals, providing cover for staff absences and supporting service demand.
The successful candidate is required to be able to demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. You should have proven experience of working in the following areas of orthopaedics, acute medicine and frailty, respiratory. neurology and emergency department.

Main duties of the job
- To manage a defined caseload, using evidence based/patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate occupational therapy interventions.
- To provide leadership for junior staff, as delegated by supervisor.
- To supervise occupational therapy students on practice placements.
The Band 6 OT will be expected to work in accordance with the standards, policies, and procedures established in this clinical area. Under the guidance of a senior therapist, each OT will carry out assessment (standardised or locally agreed) and plan and implement treatment programmes as appropriate for the patient and clinical area. They will also be responsible for the supervision of junior, support staff and / or students.
