Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity to cover the Highly Specialised Pelvic Health Physiotherapist role at North Middlesex Hospital. This post is until July 2026 to cover a maternity leave and is 0.4 WTE (15hours per week).

This opportunity would be suitable for any Band 6 Physiotherapist with pelvic health experience or existing Band 7 interested in the role.

The North Middlesex Hospital is part of the wider group of Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful post holder would work together with the Gynae and midwifery team at North Middlesex Hospital and part of the wider Perinatal Pelvic Health Service in NCL.

Main duties of the job

To work as autonomous practitioner within the multidisciplinary Pelvic Health Service at North Middlesex University Hospital.

To provide a highly specialised assessment and intervention for own varied caseload of outpatients within the speciality of Pelvic Health conditions, including patients who may have highly complex presentations, with the aim of facilitating short and long-term self-management approaches to their condition.

To be involved in the development of the Pelvic Health Service in consultation with the Head of Therapy Services, striving to ensure maximum efficiency, productivity and cost effectiveness.

To supervise, teach and appraise more junior, assistant and student physiotherapists as appropriate

To supervise, initiate and participate in evidence-based projects and lead in-service training sessions.
