Job summary

Apprentice Administrator.

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate to the role of Band 3 Administrator Rapid Access Service within the Enfield Rapid Access Service Enfield They will be required to give a high level of staff focused customer service.

Apprenticeships are designed to give talented people an opportunity to gain a nationally recognized qualification while completing on the job training. You will be supported to learn and develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours you need to perform in the job role. You will also have study time allocated within your working hours to gain your qualification.

For this role you will undertake a 22-month development programme in Business Administration within the Enfield Rapid Access Service through work-based learning and by attending regular training sessions.

Successfully completing the training programme will lead to anAdvanced Apprenticeship Level 3.

This position is on a 22 month fixed term contract with the opportunity to become permanent once the qualification is successfully completed and achieved.

Main duties of the job

The administrator role will include uploading referrals, booking appointments and discharges via Rio, Requesting additional information to support the referrals. Creating agenda's for team meetings and taking minutes. Assisting with the ordering of supplies, and organising archiving and much more.

Our referrals mainly come from GPs and the London Ambulance Service. We provide a Rapid Response service that provides an initial holistic assessment at home within two hours, doing tests such as blood and urine sampling and developing and initialising treatment plans.

ERAS looks to provide the very best patient care, aiming to give the same level of care a patient would receive as a hospital inpatient.

We also take referrals from hospitals helping to further reduce unnecessary stays in hospital.

Enfield Rapid Access Service clinicians work 7 days a week from 8am until 10pm. You may be expected to work a proportion weekends and bank holidays office hours.

Administration hours 9am-5pm.

You will be required to work between sites,. A current UK driving license and access to a car for work will be an advantage.

Be responsible for organising and controlling own and others workload ensuring deadlines are observed and duties performed efficiently. This includes keeping Rapid Response data information up to date and summarised as requested by line manager.

Ensuring patient referrals are handed over to the Clinical staff with all necessary information at a timely manner as agreed by the team.

Maintain annual leave records for the team, liaising with Line Manager and other managers to ensure appropriate and continuing cover.

To receive telephone calls and emails from outside agencies, deal with them if possible or refer on as appropriate with a high degree of tact, diplomacy and confidentiality.

Ensure good working relationships with all staff, the organisation and outside agencies.

Maintain good standards of professionalism.

Operate a desktop PC, drafting and typing of letters, typing of assessments, reports and any general correspondence as requested by the team/manager.

Organise meetings as requested, including preparation of agendas, taking and transcribing minutes as required and distributing to appropriate staff.

Deal with issues that arise appropriately, including enquiries or complaints from members of the public and patients.

Provide information, statistics, reports and support to managers on the performance and conduct of members of staff and support with all informal and formal processes.
