Main duties of the job
The Anaesthetics Department provides a comprehensive elective and emergency service for a wide range of surgical specialties including maxfax, ENT, general surgery, gynaecology, urology , breast , colorectal surgery and ophthalmology. The Barnet and Chase Farm sites provide high quality perioperative care over 15 operating theatres, interventional radiology, cardiology and endoscopy suites, labour ward , pre-operative assessment clinics , chronic pain sedation and ECT for the Mental Health Unit. Our stand alone elective surgical hub at Chase Farm Hospital is a relatively new hospital, having opened in 2019 and is an exemplar for elective surgery in the region. The hospital is digitally mature and paperless , having achieved elite digital status as a HIMSS 7 hospital in 2022.
