A vacancy has become available in the Haemophilia and Thrombosis Centre at the Royal Free Hospital for a full time Clinical Nurse Specialist in haemophilia (experienced within speciality band 7)Alternatively a training post band 6 will be offered for right candidate.
The work setting will be mainly out-patient and day-care within the Centre from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, along with some continuing specialist nursing care for in-patients. Following training and competency assessment the potholder will also join a rotation for Saturdays, holding a bleep from 9am to 1pm, providing specialist haemophilia support for in-patients and A&E attenders.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse with experience in the field of Haemophilia and other bleeding disorders, or an experienced nurse who is considering a move into specialist practice in the future.We are looking for a nurse with excellent organisation & communication skills to work as part of a specialist multidisciplinary team, caring for adolescents and adults with inherited and acquired bleeding disorders.
You will support the many different aspects of care delivered in this internationally recognised Haemophilia & Thrombosis Centre under the supervision of specialist nurses, and the wider multi-disciplinary team. The role also includes assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of care provided for patients within the Centre. Training will be provided for the specialist aspects of the role, and there are plenty of opportunities for continuing professional development and education.
