Job summary

We are looking for a full time theatre support worker to be part of a team providing comprehensive, high quality support work within a dynamic and exciting Operating Theatre department at the Royal Free Hospital. Main duties of the job

To help within the Operating Department as circulatory staff and contribute to the delivery of patient care under direction and supervision of registered nurse.

The post holder will be responsible of stock of theatre consumables, stock rotation and checks expiry dates.

The post holder will participate in the pre-operative and post-operative cleanliness, transfer of patients, equipment, supplies to and from theatres.

The post holder will be responsible to undertake both routine and specially identified tasks for which they have been trained and assessed as competent.

The post holder will be responsible for transportation of surgical instruments to and from theatre areas.
