Job summary
The post holder will assist the Chief Pharmacy Technician - Patient Services in the delivery and development of an efficient dispensary service in line with CQC standards, demonstrating comprehensive communication and leadership skills.
Main duties of the job
As Deputy Dispensary Manager you will, in conjunction with the Chief Technician, provide a full and comprehensive dispensing service to supply medications for patient undergoing treatment and discharge medications within the hospital .
You will assist with the day to day running of services, management and development of staff and service improvements within the Inpatient pharmacy at the Royal Free Hospital.
We are looking for a GPhC qualified technician who is ready to develop themselves further in the management of service provision and staff. You will be a qualified or nearly qualified accredited checking Technician with significant post qualification hospital pharmacy experience. You would be familiar with JAC medicines management systems and automated robotic dispensing systems.
Experience in undertaking audits, writing procedures and operational management would be an advantage
You should have a confident, friendly, "can do" attitude and the ability to forge relationships with a wide range of staff to enhance the comprehensive, wide ranging Pharmacy services we provide in this large teaching hospital Trust.
Given the expanded structure and nature of our Trust there may be a need to visit on an occasional basis the Barnet and Chase Farm Pharmacy sites.
