An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Liver and Digestive Health operational management team at the Royal Free Hospital.
The Liver and Digestive Health Division is seeking a new Service Manager to oversee the day-to-day management and operational delivery of their Hepatology Service.
The Royal Free Hospital is a tertiary hepatology referral centre and liver transplant centre serving a wide geographical area, and provides secondary hepatology services to the local population. The Unit has an international reputation for management of cirrhosis complications, including portal hypertension, and is a high volume TIPS centre. Liver transplant activity has increased steadily performing around 120 liver transplants each year. The unit has been a leader in promoting supportive and palliative care for patients with cirrhosis.
Main duties of the job
o The post holder will support the operations manager in the operational management of the Hepatology service.
o To manage administrative and support teams within the service.
o Deliver appraisal and mandatory training requirements for all staff within these teams.
o Lead the service performance management systems ensuring that Trust and national standards are understood and adhered to. The post holder will produce monthly performance reports to enable divisional compliance.
o Support the governance arrangements within the service including audit, complaints, incidents, risk and health and safety.
o To be responsible to the operations manager for financial performance relating to delegated budgets and operational performance of the service.
o Represent the operations manager as required.
