Job summary

On behalf of the RFL Group Director of Efficiency and Integration, support the achievement of the Royal Free London's group-wide goals and governing objectives through the delivery of a portfolio of major programme and change activity. The role will provide support to the delivery of the Post Transaction Implementation Plan (PTIP) as part of the planned merger of North Middlesex University Hospital Trust into the Royal Free London Group and specifically will provide leadership to the development, establishment and operational management of the Integration Programme Office.

The role will build relationships and influence delivery across a range of internal and external stakeholders as part of major programme delivery. This role is fundamental to creating expert support and capability across the Group and Health Units to deliver the benefits of merger and will ensure alignment with the RFL tripartite strategies - Clinical, Research and Development and Education.

The post-holder will be part of the Efficiency and Integration function's senior team and will provide strategic and tactical leadership to the scoping, development, delivery, reporting and assurance of high value interventions as part of the PTIP.

They will ensure professional, technical and clinical support resource is deployed appropriately across workstreams; and effect and institute governance and oversight mechanisms that support and enable a culture of accountable delivery and effective escalation.

Main duties of the job

Leading the development, implementation and operational management of the Integration Programme Office;

Leading (and supporting the Group Director of Efficiency & Integration) in the definition, development, delivery and assurance of specific workstreams over two years including the Corporate Operating Model, Workforce Harmonisation and Digital Harmonisation;

Work with the Clinical Integration Programme Director to support development of clinical integration roadmaps and toolkits to enable at scale clinical integration including prioritisation and initiation of Wave 2 clinical priorities;

Work with the Integration Director to ensure comprehensive project and change management capacity is in place to enable implementation of the Clinical Operating Model and that this is supported by comprehensive organisational development plans;

Ensuring programmes of work make us of the synergies created by merger, remove unwarranted variation and deliver the agreed benefits of merger and that there are measurement systems in place to provide assurance of plans;

Lead on the development and implementation of reporting of delivery and exceptions across the Programme and upwards to the Integration Steering Group, GEMM and Trust Board of Directors;

Ensure full alignment with the Trust's core tripartite strategies - Clinical Strategy, R&D Strategy and Education

They will support the development of a more professionalised and accountable delivery culture group-wide, including through direct support and coaching to SROs from all parts of the RFL group.
