A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an energetic, confident person who has excellent interpersonal skills to help set up a new face fit testing team across all sites within the Trust.
Face fit testing for respiratory protective equipment is a mandatory element under health and safety legislation and the role will involve overseeing the management of the provision, development and compliance of an effective face fit service.
Whilst this role is predominantly based at the Royal Free Hospital site, there will be a requirement to travel on a regular basis to all other Trust sites.
Main duties of the job
Your role will be to conduct face fit tests on all staff who are required to wear FFP3 masks, being clear on the face fit testing processes.
You will be communicating with a wide range of staff in order to provide competent advice on matters pertaining to respiratory protective equipment whilst running a professional service by line managing two other members of staff within the face fit team.
You will be working closely with the health and safety team, infection prevention and control team and procurement in order to deliver robust advice and a professional face fit service including being able to undertake quantitative and qualitative fit testing using powered air-purifying respirators where required.
