Job summary

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic team player to join our friendly, dynamic progressive Acute Coronary Syndrome Clinical Nurse Specialist Team covering the Royal Free Hospital.

Our CNS team are experienced cardiac nurses who act as autonomous practitioners, clinically assessing patients, organising cardiac investigations, interpreting results and formulating a plan of care under the supervision of the Lead Consultant for Chest Pain. The team also manage the low risk ACS Virtual Ward.

Main duties of the job

The role entails managing patients in the Rapid Access Chest Pain clinic, working as an autonomous, expert clinical nurse specialist within the Cardiology Multi-Disciplinary Team. It involves provide expert knowledge, advice and clinical support to patients, carers and health professionals in the care and management of patients experiencing treatment for ACS. Identifying potential patients, and then onboard and monitor patients on the ACS Virtual Ward.
