Main duties of the job
Applications are invited for clinicians wishing to join our middle grade (registrar) rota in our new Emergency Department which is complete after a £25 million redevelopment. The facility offers;
- Co-located CT scanning, on site x-ray, full diagnostic laboratory services.
- EM Led, Same Day Emergency Care.
- Separated Covid (Blue) and Non-Covid (Green) areas for acute presentations.
- Consultant supervision cover from 8am to 11pm 7 days a week.
- 30-bedded CDU ward with integrated MDT working with Acute Medicine and Elderly Care.
- Urgent care centre for injuries, minor illness with an integrated GP hub.
The hospital is well situated in Hampstead, bordering the centre of London, in excellent and unparalleled surroundings catering to leisure, lifestyle and urban pursuits.
The post holder will work with colleagues to support clinical education in the Emergency Department. A formal job plan will be agreed between the appointee and the Clinical Director at the commencement date of the appointee.
The 10PA contract consists of 6 Direct Clinical Care and 4 educational PAs, plus 2 Additional PAs for out-of-hours clinical cover (12 PAs total, Additional PAs are subject to annual job planning review). The post holder will be expected to show evidence of effective use of the educational PAs to develop teaching in the department. The post holder will provide twenty four hour middle grade cover which includes weekend and night working. The rota will be EWTD compliant.
