Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to join the Hand Therapy team as a Band 6 Hand Therapist. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic therapist with Band 5/6 experience within this field to work within an established and dynamic multidisciplinary team.
The Hand Therapy Service is based across 2 sites, with Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood as the satellite unit. The post holder will be working with Hand Trauma, Elective Hand surgery and Plastic Surgery patients, in the adult and paediatric population. The post requires a flexible approach to working and cross site cover may be required, with the main base being the Royal Free Hospital.
There is a well-structured professional development programme combining in service training, journal reviews, practical training sessions and supervision.
The post holder will work closely with the Team leads to help run and develop the service. The team is led by a Service lead who works across the whole service.
