Job responsibilities
- The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for post surgical patients in PACU and SHDU with supervision from senior staff.
- The Post holder will develop specialist knowledge and competence in caring for post op adult patients by attending the Enhance Care Course and by working with their mentors and clinical practice educators.
- The post holder is expected to supervise and teach unqualified staff with the support and supervision of more senior members of the team.
- To support an environment that promotes excellence in nursing practice and development of high level of clinical skills in Post Anaesthetic Care and Surgical High Dependency Unit.
