Job summary

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinical or counselling psychologist to join a busy community CAMHS Eating Disorders team, which includes an intensive treatment service. The primary role will be assessment and therapy work using Family Therapy for Eating Disorders and CBT for Eating Disorders principles. We are a multidisciplinary team, and we work closely with partner agencies. You would join a growing psychology team, which is made up of qualified clinical and counselling psychologists, and trainee and assistant psychologists. Other key tasks for the post are supervision of junior staff, and contributing to service evaluation and development.

We welcome applicants with experience of work in CAMHS eating disorders services, service development and clinical supervision.

We are a large and friendly team, and we are based in accessible and pleasant Hampstead in North London. There is plenty of opportunity for CPD and training, and to be involved in research. Visits and enquiries are welcome.

Main duties of the job

Providing Family Therapy for Eating Disorders and CBT for Eating Disorders to children and young people with eating disorders as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Providing psychological therapy focused on common psychological maintaining factors for eating disorders, such as anxiety, mood problems, perfectionism, poor self-esteem, and emotion regulation difficulties.

Providing consultation and supervision to the team.

Contributing to service development and evaluation as appropriate
