Job summary

The successful candidate will be expected:

To support breast screening patients who have been recalled for assessment following their screening mammogram .Act as their advocate whilst co-ordinating their care pathway from assessment through to discharge/ diagnosis referral and treatment. Support with Recruitment to screening clinical trials.To provide holistic care and support through counselling, educating, advising and supporting emotional needs.Co-ordinate health promotion both internally and externally across the services ensuring equity of access for all. To have a leading role in service improvement and development across all sites. Support with cross site working.

Main duties of the job

A successful candidate is required to be able demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. A successful candidate should have proven experience of working:

In a clinical background, with experience and knowledge of treating Breast Cancer/ breast disease and breast screening clients.A first level degree or working towards this.A qualification in advanced breast care practice.

Counselling skills, training and experience.

Excellent communication and organisational skills. The ability to prioritise work independently within a team.Leadership experience.
