Main duties of the job
We have an exciting opportunity to come and join our very successful, vibrant Nutrition service at Barnet Hospital. We are looking for a nurse who has experience in Nutrition work, ideally having worked as a clinical nurse specialist previously, who is able to lead and innovate nursing practice within nutrition support both within the Trust and through local networks.
The Nutrition service is a well established and is predominantly nurse led service, managing complex inpatients and outpatients including support within the community. We are a small team but have links and work closely with Consultants, Dieticians and the Nutrition team at the Royal Free Site.
The post holder will provide an autonomous Nutrition service using advanced clinical judgement and knowledge of the specialty, you will be required to lead and innovate nursing practice.
As the clinical nurse specialist in Nutrition, your role will also be to support the wider MDT members and provide support, advice, formal and in formal education. This is a fantastic opportunity and one where you can really make a difference to patients lives.
