Main duties of the job
The role will involve a mix of independent working in particular areas or specialities, and team working with Radiology staff (i.e., consultants, registrar, radiographers, admin and clerical, nurses).external providers, internal staff, and clinicians throughout the Trust.

The PACS & RIS Administrator will liaise with radiology clinical leads,knowledge and expertise in radiology IT systems, as this role will be responsible for advice to users, comprehensive system management (including peripheral interfaces, software, infrastructure), and storage and delivery of high quality images required for diagnosis and treatment.
The post holder will work to agreed objectives and is given the freedom to do this in their own way working within broad range of policies and procedures.
The post holder will be proactive, keen, and driven, with a capacity to maintain a high level of technical and theoretical skills through personal CPD.
The post holder will work in a way that is patient focused and service driven. Participation will be required in the governance of the department in areas including risk management, health and safety, research and audit activities is of the utmost importance for the candidate in this role.

- Substantial work experience in NHS PACS/RIS administration

- Proven knowledge of a variety of Trust computer applications relevant to post.
- Substantial experience in the system administration of the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS) within the NHS.
- Good knowledge of Patient Administration System (PAS) and other Patient Systems such as EPR.
- Experience with working with outsourcing reporting providers and ensuring compliance to KPI's
