This is an opportunity for doctors currently on London training programmes to spend a year out of programme working in a unique post working within Health Education England and Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
The exciting post is a part time appointment working 2-3days within HEE and across RFL Trust. The role provides opportunity to develop skills in leadership, management, simulation, strategy and project management.
Start date: As soon as possible but can be flexible.

Main duties of the job
At RFL, the role will provide a unique opportunity to develop and establish a leadership programme for doctors in training across the Trust. The post holder will work with senior leaders to bring together a multidisciplinary, multispecialty faculty to develop and deliver a workplace-based training programme focused on leadership and management skills for doctors in training. The post holder will assist the postgraduate medical education team and core faculty to deliver the first cohort of the Trust-wide leadership development programme for doctors in training.

With RFL, the role will provide a unique opportunity to develop and establish a leadership programme for doctors in training across the Trust. The post holder will work with senior leaders to bring together a multidisciplinary, multispecialty faculty to develop and deliver a workplace-based training programme focused on leadership and management skills for doctors in training.
The post holder will assist the postgraduate medical education team and core faculty to deliver the first cohort of the Trust-wide leadership development programme for doctors in training. The role will also involve supporting medical education across the Royal Free London Trust in a range of activities, including but not limited to: coordination and development of teaching sessions and opportunities, small and large group tutorials, skills based practical sessions, simulation, bedside teaching and clinical skills teaching. Contribution to examinations of students (primarily OSCE examinations), will be required. You will be expected to contribute to the cross-site preparation for the preparation for practice teaching modules and to assist with the UCL OSCE exams.
The post is based at HEE and Barnet Hospital, with cross site working required at Royal Free, Barnet, Chase Farm and central UCL in Bloomsbury, as required. The successful applicant will be invited to participate in UCL training to teach course. The post holder will be supported to build their portfolio to assist in gaining accreditation through the Higher Education Academy prior to completing their post. There will also be opportunity to take advantage of leadership training programmes available across the Royal Free Trust.
With NHSE the successful applicant would:
Work collaboratively across London Trusts and NHSE in order to continue the rollout of LEEP to medical trainees and other healthcare professionals.
Look to obtain and train more faculty members as part of the LEEP programme via train the trainer sessions, increasing Londons faculty pool for further engagement with colleagues.
Communicate on a regular basis with NHSE regarding the Trusts objectives, plans and business developments for LEEP.
Attend key NHSE meetings to ensure feedback and insight from Trust colleagues is reported back to NHSE in regard to the LEEP programme
