Job summary

We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about our core Trust values, to join the band 7 senior team in AAU. The unit will be focused upon flow and a high turnover of patients across the hot floor, working in collaboration with the AAU Hub and the Emergency Department team.

They will lead the way in a thriving and supportive workplace, ensure high quality care is given to our patient group while working with a dedicated team of staff who are devoted to improve the quality of care and enhance patients experience.

Main duties of the job

You will ensure that safe and effective planning, implementation, and monitoring of acutely ill patients with an expected length of stay up to 23 hours. You will work collaboratively with the Emergency Department, AAU Hub, Site team, and the multi-disciplinary team to provide safe and seamless discharge planning.

The post holder should have recent experience of working at a senior nurse level and be able to demonstrate clinical knowledge and skills in caring for acutely unwell patients with complex medical conditions.

You will be a clinical role model and have a willingness to continuously develop the junior team as well as your own professional growth.
