Main duties of the job

The Anaesthetics Department provides a comprehensive elective and emergency service for a wide range of surgical specialties including, but not limited to, liver and renal transplantation, hepatobiliary cancer, complex vascular including aortic surgery, renal cancer, sarcoma, plastics, endocrine, breast, urology and colorectal surgery. The Royal Free site provides high quality perioperative care over 19 operating theatres, interventional radiology and endoscopy suites, labour ward and pre-operative assessment clinics.

It is an exciting time at the Royal Free with the recent opening of a dedicated Enhanced Postoperative Integrated Care (EPIC) unit to complement the existing Intensive Care Unit facility by providing the highest quality and innovative perioperative care to our unique complex major surgical population.

We are located in an area with excellent facilities and Hampstead Heath close by. There are many local coffee shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants with an impressive high street and direct access to central London.
