Main duties of the job

Healthcare Assistant - Children's Outpatient Department - Blood Clinic

Main Responsibilities

  • The primary role of Nursing Assistant is to work as a team member under the direction and supervision of registered nurses, giving clinical and clerical support to the multidisciplinary team, so that an efficient and responsive service can be provided for all patients, in all areas and clinical specialties within the Paediatric inpatient, day surgery and Outpatient department.
  • The Nursing Assistant must be able to work on his/her own initiative, provide a safe and customer- focused environment, offering patients and their relatives a caring and supportive service.
  • The Nursing Assistant will provide phlebotomy services to support the outpatient clinics following achievement of the appropriate competencies.
