Job summary
A full-time band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist post will prove invaluable experience for those looking to develop their career in palliative care particularly within the acute hospital setting. Our team works 9-5pm Monday to Sunday and the focus is on providing person and family centred care for those with complex and specialist palliative care needs at the end of life and in long term conditions. We work in close collaboration and consultation with hospital staff and primary health care teams. At the weekends we provide a service for both the Royal Free Hospital and North Camden community.
We have a strong team and pride ourselves on collaborative working between the acute, community and hospice providers.
We will provide a supportive environment in which to develop your skills as an advance nurse practitioner. Enquiries are welcome from nurses with experience in managing patients with chronic life threatening conditions and supporting them and those that are important to them.
You should be creative, enthusiastic and motivated with:
- Broad and extensive experience of working with acutely unwell patients and terminally ill adults post registration.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and as a team member.
- Hold a first degree and post registration qualifications in oncology, palliative care or other appropriate medical speciality.
-Demonstrate significant teaching experience.
