1.0 WTE Junior Clinical Research Fellow in Scleroderma

Terms and conditions of service are as for Clinical Fellow. The average hours of duty are 37.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
The Scleroderma Service at the Royal Free Hospital has close links with the UCL Centre for Rheumatology and Connective Tissue Diseases and provides a specialised service for clinical care and research into systemic sclerosis (scleroderma) and related disorders. The post-holder will join the clinical team and work on a specific clinical and laboratory research project focusing on developing better ways of characterisation of candidate biomarkers associated with clinical disease activity and prognosis by integrating clinical and laboratory data, including new molecular markers. There are close links with the Rheumatology Departments that specialises in connective tissue disorders, SLE, vasculitis, and sarcoidosis. There are weekly academic meetings and are excellent opportunities for postgraduate training and research. The post holder will work closely with Professor Christopher Denton, Dr Voon Ong and the rheumatology team.
