Main duties of the job
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a substantive Consultant (8.5 PA) in Obstetrics at the Hampstead site of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced colleague to join our obstetric services with an interest in Early Pregnancy.
About us
The successful candidate is expected to provide cover for labour ward, antenatal care and early pregnancy unit. The teaching and training of junior medical staff and is also expected to be a key part of the role.
The successful candidate will be supported by a multidisciplinary team of obstetricians, obstetric anaesthetist and consultant midwives. The candidate should be keen to work as part of a team, continuing to develop good relationships with other staff within and outside the Clinical management team

- MBBS
- MRCOG
- CCT/CCST or equivalent
- Entry onto the Specialist Register of the GMC (or eligibility for entry within 6mths of AAC)
- Hold Full Registration with GMC
- Research publications in peer reviewed journals or book chapter publications
- International presentations
Specialist Skills
Essential
- ATSM or equivalent in Advanced Labour Ward Practice
- Experience working/running on labour ward and emergency gynae clinics
- ATSM or equivalent experience in Medical Education
- ATSM or equivalent in Acute Gynae & Early Pregnancy
Desirable
- ATSM or equivalent in Benign Gynae surgery (hysteroscopy)
