Job summary

An exciting and fundamental governance administrative role which supports the group wide clinical governance team administrative processes.

Assisting the group corporate clinical governance team in embedding governance processes across the trust by supporting the team operationally such as document management, collate and format data, facilitate also present data for review and analysis by others and those supporting both our health care regulation by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) Compliance and clinical audit and effectiveness and the Human Tissue Act Authority standards (HTA).

The post holder will provide the secretarial and administrative support for the group corporate clinical governance team and is required to organise and prioritise their own workload under the direction of the Group Deputy Director of Clinical governance and performance.

A considerable responsibility is placed on the post holder to provide an efficient and effective service to the corporate clinical governance team.

Main duties of the job

  • Collate and manage systems which detail data/reports held as evidence to support the trusts external assessments in relation to governance.
  • Participate in weekly planning/capacity meetings with individual members of the clinical governance central in order to support portfolios and work flows priorities.
  • Provide secretarial support to the department, including photocopying, word processing, and maintaining departmental records and supplies.
  • Collate and manage systems which detail NICE data/reports retrieving information from a national reporting system and exporting this into the teams excel database in relation to clinical effectiveness and clinical governance guidance.
  • Responsible for accurate data entry within NICE Guidance tracker database and the central NCA and NCEPOD central recording system as required.
  • Support the administrative processes, such as document management, and those supporting both our CQC Compliance and clinical audit and effectiveness.
  • Manage the secretariat process for the weekly team meeting, producing and distributing the papers and minute taking at the meetings.
  • Maintain sickness absence reporting and co-ordination of annual leave for the corporate clinical governance team.
  • Produce high quality written text and graphical documents to a high standard as requested.
  • To feedback to clinical governance central team any management actions and updates from meetings attended or supported on behalf of the team.

Job description

Job responsibilities
