Main duties of the job
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Neurosciences Physiotherapy team at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. The post includes rotations of 9 months in the following areas: Acute Stroke Unit (RFH ), Outpatient Neuro Physiotherapy (RFH), Inpatient Sub-acute Management Pathway (RFH), Inpatient Complex Management Team (RFH), Community Neurological Conditions Management Team (NRC, Edgware), Inpatient Neuro-rehabilitation (NRC, Edgware)
You will be joining an established Neurosciences Physiotherapist team led by a Clinical Lead Physiotherapist and will have the opportunity to develop specialist skills in the assessment and treatment of acute and chronic neuro-disability patients. You will be working as part of a specialist Neurosciences MDT and be involved in therapy in-service training and education programmes. You will be encouraged to participate in clinical governance and quality improvement activities.
The successful candidate is required to be able to demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. In particular you should have proven experience of working in an acute hospital setting and with patients with Neurological conditions. In this post you will gain valuable experience of working with patients with neurological conditions in a rewarding and well supported environment with a clear supervision structure across all sites.

- Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration as a physiotherapist
- Certificated graduate courses or equivalent in-house training in clinical specialty areas

- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
- Membership of special interest group
