Band 7 Midwife - Band 7 Diabetic Specialist Midwife
Based at Royal Free Hospital
(Although some rotation to Barnet will be required.)
We are currently recruiting a Band 7 Diabetic Specialist Midwife to lead the development of diabetes services on our Hampstead site.This will be an exciting and dynamic role, working clinically as a lead midwife, providing and prescribing care for diabetic/high risk women through the Consultant units at The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust in liaison with the multidisciplinary teams.
Main duties of the job
You will be expected to co-ordinate and develop services provided for women with diabetes or who develop diabetes in pregnancy and will contribute to the education and professional development of both qualified and unqualified staff in the acute and primary care setting in relation to Diabetes. The post holder will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the service provided. Through audit and research the development of services will be on going to ensure best practice and quality care in developing services to pregnant women who are or who have developed diabetes within the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
