Job summary
This is a part time locum maternity leave Consultant appointment of 7 programmed activities. The appointee will join the existing team of Orthodontic Consultants in the Trust and the roles will be based at Chase Farm Hospital and Edgware Community Hospital.
The Department of Orthodontics provides an extensive service for patients with major treatment needs and has an established reputation. It has a particular focus on patients with multidisciplinary needs including orthognathic care, hypodontia and the management of ectopic teeth. The work of the department is supported by collaborative integration with the Oral and Maxillofacial Department.
The successful candidate will be expected to be a team player and should be able to demonstrate excellent high quality clinical skills in the field of orthodontics with an interest in multidisciplinary treatments. A degree of flexibility, enthusiasm as well as innovation and good communication skills with a positive attitude are a key aspect of this appointment. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide Clinical Supervision for the Specialty Registrar in Orthodontic and nurse-led clinics.
The post does not include on-call.
