Job summary
Exciting opportunities have arisen for Band 6 staff within the Hepatobiliary, Liver Transplantation and Organ retrieval team at the Royal Free Hospital Theatre complex. If you are enthusiastic, energetic, and proactive and have two years' experience at Band 5 level then you are invited to apply. Applicants should possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team. You will also be expected to extend the Trust's World Class Care Values in your interactions with patients, staff, and other service users.
In return, the department has a comprehensive Education strategy tailored to the development of all staff in theatres. We have a dedicated team of Clinical Practice Educators, supportive team leaders and a compassionate theatre management team who will ensure that you can access and receive relevant specialist training to help you succeed in the role. In addition, there is a committed group of surgeons and anaesthetists who will support your training and development within the HPB/Transplant/Retrieval specialty. There are numerous personal and professional developmental training opportunities to enhance your career progression which include university accredited in-house programmes and specialty Study Days twice a year.

Main duties of the job
- The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs for all patients, ensuring appropriately planned care is both implemented and evaluated
- To provide specialist advice without direct supervision and to lead the multi- disciplinary team in the absence of the Team Leader
- To assist in the leadership and development of an identified group of practitioners within the Department.
- The post holder will comply with the NMC or HCPC Coded of Professional and demonstrates knowledge and application of Departmental and Trust policies and procedures
- To participate in the on- call rota as required
Internal rotation to night duty, weekends and Bank Holidays
