A & C - Clerical Officer - Band 3
Barnet Hospital /Chase Farm Hospital/ Finchley Community Hospital
& Edgware Community Hospital
37.5 Hours per week, Monday - Friday
We are looking for a full time Clerical Officer to support the Diagnostic Imaging Department across all the BCF sites. The successful candidate will be based at Barnet Hospital but would be expected to cover reception duties and work across any of our sites if required, together with making of appointments by phone and in person and dealing with a high volume of telephone calls and referrals.
The successful candidate is required to be able demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and the person specification. In particular you should be prepared to work in a patient facing area and have excellent customer care skills, the ability to prioritize and work under pressure and excellent IT skills
Main duties of the job
- Provide an efficient administration service to Radiology to include reception duties and answering telephones in a professional manner.
- Accurate entry of data onto computer systems.
- Making appointments with patients directly and indirectly.
- Dealing with any queries or enquiries that come into the department.
- Ability to learn to use internal hospital systems to include PACS, PAS, EPR & CRIS.
- Collation of information required prior to patients appointments and the maintenance of those systems
