Job summary
The Safeguarding Administrator provides essential administrative support to the healthcare organisation's safeguarding arrangements, ensuring robust systems are in place to protect children, young people, and adults at risk.
The role supports clinical and non-clinical staff in the safeguarding team, Working closely with the Safeguarding Lead, and external agencies. The Safeguarding Administrator helps ensure safeguarding concerns are managed efficiently, confidentially, and in a timely manner, contributing to safe.
Main duties of the job
To support and strengthen effective safeguarding practice across healthcare services, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of patients. To maintain accurate, secure and compliant safeguarding records in line with regulatory and organisational requirements. To facilitate timely reporting, monitoring and assurance of safeguarding activity, supporting robust governance and continuous improvement.

Previous experience in administartive or clerical role
Essential
- Understanding of importance of accurate record keeping and Information Governance
- Competent IT Skills, including Microsoft office and electronic systems
- GCSE Maths and English
- Experience using electronic patient record system
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Desirable
- High level of attention to accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to take minutes during meetings.
