Job summary
The procurement function acts as a centre of excellence for all Procurement & Supply Chain activities across the new group. It manages the provision of goods and services to all departments (clinical and non-clinical) on a daily basis, contracting for the provision with several thousand suppliers. The service performs a strategic business management role, managing £370m of non-pay expenditure in support of its stakeholders across the group.
Your role will consist of stock management, portering of stock to wards, ordering of ward stock. Using scanning machines and POC hospital systems, liaising with stakeholders around profiles and par levels and liaising with NHS.

Main duties of the job
- Provide a fully managed Logistics replenishment service for stock and non-stock products to user departments.
- Unloading and manoeuvring deliveries using a forklift/ pallet truck as required, delivering medical stock to wards & departments in the hospital
- Ensure that all stocks are managed appropriately and cost effectively, meeting the needs of user departments and that all products are replenished in accordance with agreed processes, policies and procedures.
- Ensure products are received in Receipts and Despatch are distributed to user departments.
- Work as a team maintain an efficient replenishment process and cost-effective stock levels.
- Maintain effective relationships with all key stakeholders at the site
- To use initiative and work independently with a minimum level of supervision.
- To support the adoption of Scan4Safety systems and processes at the nominated site.
