Basildon Hospital is looking for a highly motivated and driven Diagnostic Radiographer to join our existing team of dedicated Band 6 Cardiac and Interventional Radiographers. The successful candidate would form an integral role within the team. This is a 10 months fixed term contract, covering maternity leave. Please note, the role has a fixed end date of 31st March 2027.

Main duties of the job

Within the Cardiac Cath Labs we have 2 dedicated interventional PCI labs, 1 electrophysiology/devices lab, 1 structural TAVI lab, and 1 diagnostic angiography/devices lab. The Hybrid Theatre is currently used by the Radiology and Vascular teams.

You will also have the opportunity to work in our new Siemens fluoroscopy room and our state-of-the-art Siemens interventional IR suite within Radiology.

  • Current HCPC UK registration
  • BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography

Desirable

  • Evidence of post graduation CPD in specialist area

Experience

Essential

  • Theatre and mobile image intensifier experience
  • Minimum 2 years post registration experience
  • General Radiology experience
  • Strong written communication skills

Desirable

  • Cardiology, Interventional Radiology or Vascular experience
  • Clear interest in Interventional fluoroscopic procedures across all areas
