Job summary
Elizabeth Fry Ward is an acute ward that caters for medical patients with sub-specialty in renal cases. We are looking for a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic Charge Nurse ( 1 Full time 37.5hrs per week) to join our friendly supportive team.
As the Charge Nurse, you will be required to provide a high standard of individualized care to patients, acting as a role model and supporting the Senior Charge nurse in driving quality care provision forward. Any applicant should have experience of 18 months to 2 years in an acute medical/renal/and any other specialist medical area/high dependency nursing/ITU in order to apply.
You will be responsible for maintaining clinical leadership of the shifts and the standards of cleanliness in their own clinical area, in partnership with the Senior Charge Nurse and Ward Matron, deputizing for the Senior Charge Nurse in her absence.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to direct, supervise and monitor the provision of nursing care in accordance with individual care plans, maintaining high standards of individualised patient care, assisting with budgetary control at ward level and participating in the management of the hospital in accordance with the Trust's Duty Coordinator Policy.
Plan and implement ward based teaching programmes assessing the training needs of ward staff in liaison with the Clinical Practice Educator.
