Job summary
Applicants are invited to apply for the opportunity of joining the team as a Locum Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with an interest in Oncology for a fixed term of six months.
The successful applicant will be based at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford but will be expected to work flexibly across MSE.
The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department provides excellent care to all women within South East Essex, and this includes the areas of Southend, Rochford, Rayleigh, Benfleet and Canvey Island.
Main duties of the job
This appointment is for a full-time Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a general gynaecology and antenatal care skills. The successful candidate will be expected to cover labour ward on call during day time along with ante-natal and general gynaecology clinics, elective and emergency theatres.

- The post holder will be expected to be actively involved in the clinical governance aspects of the directorate and the trust including risk management and CNST.
- To provide expert input to cases within the central delivery suite and antenatal wards that deviate from the normal. To provide risk analysis and management plans for all cases that require specialist input.
