Job summary
In conjunction with the site Chief Technician you will be responsible for ensuring that the technical service unit's area of the Quality management system (QMS) is maintained and developed as required under the MHRA Specials Licence.
You will assist the Associate Head of Technical Services in providing technical services training and supervision of Pharmacists.
Acting as a specialist pharmacist in technical services for Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.
Assist the Associate Head of Technical Services in providing technical expertise to ensure satisfactory standards of practice and maintenance of the licensed status.
Main duties of the job
Acts as specialist pharmacist in technical services for Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. Assist the Associate Head of Technical Services in providing technical expertise to ensure satisfactory standards of practice and maintenance of the licensed status.
To work with the relevant clinical pharmacists on improvement of chemotherapy, nutrition and CIVA services supplied by the aseptic department.
To work in their capacity as a clinical rotational Pharmacist in the chosen area of speciality within the clinical rotation.
To work with the Quality Assurance department in maintaining the Quality management system as required by the MHRA.
To be involved in Clinical Governance aspects of the pharmaceutical service.
Maintains personal awareness of relevant legislation and guidance and evaluates new directives and regulatory requirements as required to ensure compliance.
Ensure that the Technical Services department operates in compliance with the standards of GMP.
