Job summary

To assist the Security Manager in all operational aspects of the security service. This may include report writing, admin tasks related to the delivery of Conflict Resolution Training, rostering, amending Healthroster duties and any other administration duties.

Main duties of the job

To manage the ID badge production process, assist with CCTV reviews and evidence disclosure.

To co-ordinate and manage all aspects of ID and Access Control Administration as appropriate, and to assist with stock control and maintaining appropriate stock levels for all consumables, raising orders and carry out any other administration duties under the direction of the line manager or Head of Security.

Assisting in the management of rosters and and shift cover.

Utilising Health Roster to monitor, amend and finalise shifts.

Supervising and maintenance of the security equipment - monitoring for any defects and escalating to line manager.

Shape continuous improvement of services in terms of performance and staff and visitors' satisfaction reports.

  • A level or equivalent

Desirable

  • Security-related certification
  • Training in conflict resolution, physical intervention, or control and restraint techniques (or willingness to undertake training)
  • Understanding of NHS or public sector policies and procedures related to site safety and security

Experience

  • Previous admin experience
  • Ability to use MS Office suite proficently

Desirable

  • Experience in using CCTV system
  • Experience in using access control system (ID badge production)
  • Experience working in a security role within a large, complex organisation
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with security incidents, including aggressive behaviour, theft, trespass, and safeguarding concerns
