At Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, we're looking for a passionate and skilled Specialist Midwife in Fetal Medicine to help us deliver exceptional, family-centred care.
You'll play a key role in providing safe, compassionate, and personalised support to women, birthing people, and their families throughout complex pregnancies. Working autonomously within your professional scope, you'll be a visible clinical role model, ensuring high standards of care and excellence across the Fetal Medicine service.

Main duties of the job
The Specialist Midwife for Fetal Medicine will provide expert, evidence-based care and support to women, birthing people, and their families throughout the fetal medicine pathway.
You will deliver compassionate communication of complex and sensitive information, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and provide expert support for procedures such as CVS and amniocentesis.
As a key member of the team, you will lead and mentor staff, contribute to education and training, and play an active role in clinical governance and service development. You will uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and quality, working closely with antenatal and screening teams to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality care in line with Trust values and national best practice
