Job summary
An exciting opportunity as a Lead Pharmacist has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the established clinical trials pharmacy team on a fixed term contract until March 2027 supporting clinical trials patients across Mid and South Essex.
Based primarily at Broomfield Hospital site, you will be an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team, working to provide excellent care to clinical trial and oncology & haematology patients throughout the Trust. Cross-site working will be required.

Main duties of the job
If successful, your duties will include:
- To work under the direction of the Principal Pharmacist for Clinical Trials to ensure pharmacy are in a position to support the Research & Development Strategy.
- To work with the clinical trials and oncology teams to enable streamlined set-up of clinical trials across all specialities.
- To clinically screen oncology and haematology prescriptions.
- To clinically screen and check clinical trial prescriptions.
- To ensure Medicines Management Standards are met within the Clinical trials and Oncology and Haematology Services.
- To work in accordance with the principles of Good Clinical Practice.
- To be actively involved in the clinical governance aspects of the pharmaceutical service.
