Therapy assistant- Pulmonary Rehab

Job summary

Exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our Nationally accredited Pulmonary Rehabilitation service on a part time fixed term contract.

The role will involve working with people with long term lung conditions to provide an exercise programme in a class environment at both the main hospital site and community localities.

We are a small enthusiastic team committed to improving the lives of people living with breathlessness.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role include:

Supporting qualified therapists to deliver face to face exercise classes
Telephone calls to patients to discuss appointments
Administration tasks linked to the classes
Maintaining accurate records for patients attending assessments and rehabilitation classes
Maintaining accurate data in line with the data collection requirements of the service.

The role will include working at sites away from the main hospital, so access to a car to travel to these locations is essential.

5 GCSE's or Equivalent (inc English and Maths)
NVQ 3 or Equivalent in a health related subject
Competent IT skills

Desirable

Experience with NHS IT systems

Excellent communication skills
