The closing date is 11 November 2025

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Southend office for a motivated and well-organised individual to join our dynamic Research and Development (R&D) team. We are seeking a Research Coordinator to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality clinical research and innovative projects that shape the future of patient care.

This is a fantastic chance to be part of a dedicated team at the forefront of research across our hospitals and satellite sites.

You will be well organised, with great attention to detail and able to manage a diverse workload. Line management experience would be advantageous.

Main duties of the job

Support the Research Approvals Manager in building and maintaining communication with all stakeholders in the Trust and externally.

Advise and support researchers in all aspects of research, including the application process and HR requirements, communicating the requirements and motivating and persuading researchers, in order to ensure correct completion and submission of documentation

Support the Research Approvals Manager and Data Coordinator in the preparation of regular and ad-hoc reports to allow the trust and its partner NHS organisations to monitor standards of research governance processes, compliance with research standards, and levels of research activity.

Day-to-day line management of the co-located Research Administrator.
