You will Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, holistic, high quality and individualised care which respects patient personal dignity and beliefs. You will also lead motivate and develop the team to meet care needs.

Main duties of the job
- Deputise for the band 7 Lead Practitioner when appropriate
- Maintain a safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff
- Maintain and promote effective communication within the care team and with colleagues, patients, relatives and visitors
- Act as a mentor to students and newly qualified staff including teaching and assessing, upholding the philosophy of evidence based practice
- Assist in the management of the Theatre budget and ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained
- Maintain a professional profile and develop skills, knowledge and competencies adhering to the NMC/HPC Code of Professional Conduct and Trust Policies and Procedures
- Act as the patients advocate when appropriate and ensure that nursing staff are able to offer guidance on treatment options in order to enable the patient to make an informed choice
- Assumes responsibility for the management of clinical and support activities and allocation of human resources to run the Plastic and Burns Theatres provision efficiently and effectively to meet patient care needs
- Delegates patient care, or other tasks as appropriate
- Undertakes and completes appraisals for team members,
- Acts as patient advocate at all times during the perioperative patient journey
- Understands the trust's Complaints procedure, and intervenes when patient, clinician complaints arise, and aims to resolve in an effective and objective manner
