We're excited to invite an enthusiastic Band 5 Scrub Nurse to join our friendly, dedicated, and forward-thinking theatre team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to take on new challenges and advance their skills within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Our department features five dedicated plastics surgery theatres, performing a wide range of elective plastic procedures and regional trauma cases. We are leaders in breast reconstruction and privileged to operate an internationally recognised burns unit that cares not only for the local community but also receives patients from across the globe.

Main duties of the job
Main Duties of the Role:
Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure perioperative patients receive high-quality, evidence-based nursing care.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate holistic and individualised care that respects each patient's dignity, values, and beliefs.
Promote and maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors in line with health and safety standards.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, families, and visitors to support safe and compassionate care.
Serve as a clinical and professional role model, demonstrating specialist knowledge and consistently high standards of practice.
Provide support and guidance to students and newly qualified staff, acting as a mentor, educator, and assessor to promote evidence-based practice.
Assist in managing the theatre budget, including maintaining appropriate stock levels and ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Maintain a professional portfolio and take responsibility for ongoing personal and professional development in line with the NMC Code, hospital policies, and procedures.
