Job summary
Are you a dietitian looking to work in a growing and supportive team of dietitians to further your career? If so we have an exciting opportunity to join our team at Southend Hospital to provide dietetic treatment to patients from a wide range areas. You will have the opportunity to provide cover for renal, oncology, stroke and gastro patients. This role will involve working alongside the band 7 specialist dietitians.
You will be working closely with both the dietetic team and the wider MDT team, made up of consultants, specialist nurses and speech & language therapists to provide up to date science based dietetic input to patients along their journey.
You will also provide senior support and supervision where indicate to more junior staff to support your leadership skills
Main duties of the job
You will join our team of 20 dietitians, a dietetic assistant and 2 secretaries at Southend Hospital to provide a dietetic service to defined caseload of patients, providing both inpatient and outpatient care. Your role will include attendance and contribution at MDT meetings.
You will have your own caseload of inpatients and provide ongoing dietetic advice to patients, as required following their discharge home. The role will incorporate consultations via phone clinics and through participation in face to face clinics.
