Job summary
This role will be responsible for managing and developing the Trust's Electronic Staff Record (ESR), ensuring benefits realization, best practice, and integration across associated systems i.e. Payroll.
Reporting to the Head of Establishment Systems Team, the post holder will manage and develop systems and processes to ensure ESR and associated systems are effectively deployed and used across the Trust, providing an essential data management function for the Trust, and ensuring timely workforce and payroll management of all employee groups.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide leadership to the Remuneration Team, ensuring that the team delivers an effective, efficient and customer focused service, which meets the changing needs of the NHS, the organization, managers, employees and deliver key objectives.
The role will work closely with the EST Reporting Manager to ensure that the quality checking staffing structures/hierarchy is in place, and that ESR is updated with establishment and employee specific changes.
To provide transactional services that should be fully compliant with national guidelines and local policy requirements including GDPR.
To act as the operational lead for the liaison with the Trust's payroll provider The post holder will be expected to travel to any one of the MSEFT sites as required for meetings.

- Provide support, advice and guidance to own team with regards to technical aspects of ESR, workforce structures, pay and grading.
- Support the overriding requirements of the function and the Trust by demonstrating the ability to work in a flexible independent manner.
- Provide training and advice to managers and key stakeholders as appropriate
- Manage key stakeholder relationships regarding terms and conditions, pay awards and the timely execution of implementation and management of the operational aspect of the relationship with SBS.
- Highly developed and effective communication skills in dealing with complex information.
- Interpret and advise the Trust on the impact of pay circulars, Agenda for Change amendments and incremental changes to the workforce.
- Analyse and interpret highly complex issues/problems relating to payroll data and formulate action plans where required to address any identified risks.
- To ensure that key performance indicators are monitored monthly, and any challenges escalated appropriately.
- Compile and present reports and analysis as required to key stakeholders, at all levels of the Trust, providing assurance that the project is delivering on the business case objectives.
