Charge Nurse - Critical Care

This is an exciting opportunity to become fully competent in caring for both level 2 and level 3 patients, while working days and nights on an internal rotation basis.

You should also hold an advanced Critical Care qualification and be committed to supporting colleagues and driving service improvement.

Main duties of the job
Your role will be to act as team leader including taking charge of the unit in the absence of a Senior Speciality Nurse/Charge Nurse and be responsible for the effective deployment of Critical Care resources including manpower, adhere to the Nursing and Midwifery Code of Practice at all times and must ensure Critical Care's compliance with and application of hospital policies and procedures.
You will also support the development, implementation and monitoring of Governance systems in Critical Care relating to Risk Management, Health and Safety and Controls Assurance, ensure that an individual programme of care is planned, implemented and evaluated for each patient within own sphere of responsibility, participate in all relevant aspects of the Governance process
